The Northeast Ohio Clinical Nurse Specialists Affiliate has been selected as the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists Affiliate of the Year for 2017!

The NEOCNS affiliate demonstrated: sustained growth of the NACNS member component over the past three years; offers continuing education activities to assist CNSs in their efforts to maintain eligibility for recognition and/or licensure as a CNS in their state; develops leadership role of CNSs including advocating CNSs recognition in local, regional, and national professional CNS organizations; advocates for CNS/ CNS role recognition at the local, regional, and/or national level; contributes to the growth and activities of NACNS through individual member’s contributions or through affiliate-level activities; and communicate the value of CNSs through publications (article, book chapter) or presentations at the local, regional, and national conference that is relevant to practicing CNSs. 

The NEOCNS Affiliate accepted this honor at the 2017 National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists 2017 Annual Conference.

What is the Purpose of the Northeast Ohio Clinical Nurse Specialist Affiliate?

The purpose of this affiliate is to foster networking, broaden knowledge and showcase the work of CNSs working in Northeast Ohio. The affiliate is comprised of national leaders in nursing whose presentations, publications and masterful mentoring have contributed significantly to the advancement of nursing.
